Okay, so you’ve made it this far—yay, you! At this point, you probably feel like you know me pretty well. I had big dreams, big plans, and—let’s be real—a big personality.

But here’s the thing… sometimes life throws curveballs. And not the kind that land you a home run. I was bullied. And not just the ‘mean comments in the hallway’ kind—this was everywhere. At school, online, in places where I should’ve felt safe. It followed me, crept into my thoughts, and made me question everything.

And even though I had amazing friends, an awesome family, and more people who loved me than I probably realized, there was a moment when all that love felt far away.

That moment changed everything. But I need you to know—you don’t have to go through this alone. Nobody does.

So, let’s talk about it. Not in a sad, depressing way, but in a way that actually helps. Let’s be real about how bullying messes with people. Let’s figure out how to stop it. And most importantly, let’s remind each other that we’re never, ever as alone as we think we are.

...but don’t worry...

Alright, so we’ve talked about bullying. But here’s the thing—it doesn’t just happen in school. Nope. It follows you home, straight to your phone, your texts, your Facebook notifications, your group chats. It’s like carrying around a bully in your pocket.

Ever had someone post something shady, but you just know it’s about you? Or suddenly unfriend you, like somehow your entire existence got deleted? Yeah—bullying isn’t just face-to-face anymore. It happens in comments, in texts, in posts, in group chats. And more than HALF of teenagers have dealt with cyberbullying.

That’s not just a number—it’s real people, and it’s way too many.

I promise not to bore you with a bunch of grown-up talk!!

So, let’s break it down.

1 in 5 students have been bullied at school. Way too many people are dealing with this.

No fluff, no sugarcoating...
JUST THE TRUTH.

The top ways people get bullied? Talking behind someone’s back and throwing out mean nicknames like it’s a sport.

Bullying isn’t just a ‘school thing’—it happens everywhere!

The school bus.

Hallways between classes.

Bathrooms & locker rooms.

Playground & outside areas.

Online (Social Media, Texts, Group Chats) – The kind of bullying that follows you home and NEVER disappears.

Stick with them. Bullies love to go after people who feel alone. Simply being there—walking with them, sitting with them, sending a funny message—can remind them that they’re not facing it alone. That kind of support makes a difference.

Standing up, speaking out, & Being the friend they need.

Shut it down (when it’s safe). If you see bullying happening, call it out. Even just saying, “That’s not cool,” can stop someone in their tracks.

Help them clean up their online space. If they’re getting harassed online, block, mute, and report the bullies. No one needs that negativity.

Remind them who they are. Bullies want people to feel small. Be louder than the lies. Tell them they’re strong, smart, funny, loved—because they are.

Check in, even when they seem ‘fine’. Smiling doesn’t always mean okay. Ask how they’re really doing.

Just be there. No fixing, no big speeches—just listen and let them know they’re not alone.
